Biography

Byoungchan Lee is an Assistant Professor of Economics at HKUST. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at University of California at Berkeley in 2019 and received his B.A. from Seoul National University in 2012.

 

Byoungchan is a macroeconomist. His research interest includes inequality, business cycles, stabilization policies, and econometric methods for empirical macroeconomics.

Former Student Research Intern Hiu Wang Ng Ng Hiu Wang is an undergraduate student majoring in Global Business. He is currently assisting Professor. Yang Lu to assess the information role of Sovereign debt and study the RMB exchange rate. His work primarily focuses on data analysis and literature review. Before joining CEP as a student research intern, he had worked in finance and alternative investments.
