ADB Appoints Our Director Professor Albert Park as Chief Economist
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed our director, Professor Albert Park, as its new Chief Economist.
ADB was established in 1966 and is owned by 68 members, of which 49 are from the Asia and Pacific region. It is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
As Chief Economist in ADB, Professor Park will serve as Director General of the Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department. In the department, he will lead ADB’s work on policy research and regional cooperation and integration.
Professor Park looks forward to contributing to ADB’s long and established presence in providing knowledge and policy advice that will help shape a green, resilient, and inclusive recovery for the Asia and Pacific region in the challenges of COVID-19 and climate change.
