The Center for Economic Policy organized a welcome lunch for student research interns on October 25, 2021, giving an opportunity for our research affiliates and student interns to meet and get to know each other. In the event, research affiliates introduced their research fields while student interns talked about their goals and future plans in research.  

Student research interns will assist our research affiliates with their research projects this semester. They will help with data analysis, data collection, literature review, data cleaning, and other tasks.

The Grand Finale - Hong Kong Economic Policy Challenge 2023 The Grand Finale of the Hong Kong Economic Policy Challenge 2023 in association with the HKUST Center of Economic Policy and Economics Department comes to a close on May 6th, 2023. ADB Appoints Our Director Professor Albert Park as Chief Economist The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed our director, Professor Albert Park, as its new Chief Economist. ADB was established in 1966 and is owned by 68 members, of which 49 are from the Asia and Pacific region. It is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
CEP Student Internship Programme (Fall-Winter 2021-2022) The Center for Economic Policy provides opportunities for HKUST students to become involved with the academic research projects of our faculty affiliates. This can give students an experience of the research process, generating valuable insights into how research is done, the connection between academic research and the real world, and to learn skills that can be valuable in the job market.
