King Wang Wong
Former Student Research Intern
WONG King Wang is an undergraduate student double majoring in Economics and Finance, and in Computer Science.
He is currently assisting Prof. Jin Wang to assess the micro-level impact of the BRI. His work primarily focuses on web scraping, data analysis as well as literature review.
Before joining CEP as a student research intern, he has been involved in web development and machine learning projects.

Associate Professor, Division of Public Policy Hyuncheol Bryant Kim is an applied empirical micro-economist focusing on causal impacts of policy interventions in health and education sectors through large scale data analysis and social experiment. The main goal of his research is to understand the fundamental relationship between human capital investment and individual and societal well being in Africa and Asia, which is insufficiently understood. He received an MD from Yonsei University, Korea, MPH from Seoul National University, Korea, and PhD in Economics from Columbia University, USA.

Chun Yeung (Knowlton) Chan
Current Student Research Intern
Knowlton Chan is an undergraduate majoring in Mathematics and Economics at HKUST. Expected to graduate in 2023, he plans on pursuing postgraduate studies in the United States.
He is currently working on literature review of the topics that Prof. Kim's research and course are covering: fetal origin hypothesis, early childhood education and health, COVID-19 policies, and policy failures.

Jiang Yuxuan is an undergraduate student majoring in Economics and Finance at HKUST. As a student research intern in the Center for Economic Policy, she is currently assisting with Prof. Ji Yeon Hong's project on international attitudes towards China by conducting data analysis.

Leung Ho Long is a final year student majoring in Mathematics and Economics. He was a student research intern in the Center for Economic Policy. He assisted Prof. Yatang Lin to study the local impacts of BRI projects. His work primarily focused on data analysis as well as literature review.

Sneha Puri
Former Student Research Intern
Sneha is a senior at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), majoring in Economics and Marketing. She is currently working with professors at HKUST in a study about the finances and wellbeing of Filipina domestic workers in Hong Kong. She has been involved in data collection, cleaning and analysis over the past few months.
Upon graduation, she aspires to continue studying Development Economics and Policy at postgraduate level. She is particularly interested in Education and its role in facilitating economic development.
